In 1805 , Kharkiv National Medical University was founded as the medical faculty of Kharkiv University and it was later renamed to Kharkov Medical Institute and Kharkov State Medical University and today it is known as ‘Kharkiv National Medical University’.

It is the top medical education institution in Ukraine and the MBBS or any other degrees from this University is prestigious and recognized all over the world.

For different countries of Europe, Asia, and Africa, the University has been training doctors since 1951.

Eligibility Criteria: For MBBS Course at Kharkiv NMU

To study MBBS at Kharkiv National Medical University, the following is the eligibility criteria:-

  • The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year in which the admission is being taken.
  • The applicants must have cleared NEET exam.
  • The Nationality of the students must be ‘Indian’.
  • All the candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as elective subjects and acquired at least half in a total of PCB joined. Also, students must have studied and passed English as an obligatory subject.
  • The candidate must have scored minimum 50% of marks in the subjects like Physics, Biology, Chemistry combined.

  • Step 1

    In order to apply to this University, and send an international application, students should contact the admission department of the University by email info@ksmu.kharkov.ua and must send the following documents:

    • secondary school completion certificate
    • international passport or birth certificate

  • Step 2

    For further admission confirmation and guidance in registering to the University, the scanned documents are to be sent to the University by email for evaluation of eligibility.

  • Step 3

    Along with other details of enrollment, the student will be granted with ADMISSION CONFIRMATION LETTER in case if they are eligible.

  • Step 4

    Then the students must apply for INVITATION LETTER, which is a unique document issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and must be delivered to the home address of the applicant for student visa application at the Embassy of Ukraine.

  • Step 5

    Students must inform about their flight plans to the University so that a representative from the University can pick up them at the airport.

  • Step 6

    In case if a student fails to inform the University about their arrival, then they will be deported back to the homeland.

In this five year course, students complete introductory pharmacy practice experiences along with classroom-based courses and advanced pharmacy practice experiences at 5th year.

Hostel and Accommodation

  • There are 6 hostels at the university campus.
  • It is the decision of students whether to live in the hostel or in an apartment which depends totally on the choice of students as to whether they prefer individual lifestyle or enjoy living in a community.
  • The hostel rooms are furnished and differ in size.
  • In one room of the dormitory, 2-3 students can stay.
  • There is a bed, a chair, a cupboard, pillow, blanket, water heating system, etc. facilities available in each room.
  • For the students to walk around and mingle, the common area is provided in the hostel campus.
  • Students can choose to share an apartment with other students or rent a private flat.
  • The rooms at the hostel are attached to a kitchen where students can cook their own food.
  • Students will have to arrange their own utensils and whatever kitchen equipment is needed, as kitchens are not provided with the utensils.
  • Hostels have 24x7 security and emergency services are also provided to the students.
